Sterling Masonic Lodge #22 Free and Accepted Masons Post Office Box 32 Sterling, AK 99672-0032

Sterling Masonic Lodge #22
is located in the Kenai River town of Sterling on the Kenai Peninsula in South Central Alaska. Our lodge was formed in 2001 and chartered by the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Alaska in February, 2002. Our lodge has established itself as an active participant in community and statewide causes including a student recognition program, plus community and statewide disaster relief, family emergency assistance, and a highway cleanup program. Membership in Sterling Masonic Lodge #22 is available by application to men who meet all the requirements currently set forth by the Masonic Grand Lodge of Alaska. The area was occupied by native Alaskans in early times. The community was originally called Naptowne when it was settled in 1947. A United States Post Office was opened in 1954 and the town was named Sterling. This name was chosen due to the Sterling Highway that served the area and connected us to other points of Alaska. The town is economically dependent upon tourism, sport fishing and hunting. Visitors can participate in guided fishing and hunting trips. There are cabins available for rent within walking distance of the Kenai River. We recently added a website feature for our friends and members that will allow you to be informed of upcoming lodge activities such as picnics, fish fries, Degree work or practice, Rusty Masons Night, special events and other lodge activities. You may even get an occasional email reminder about our regular meetings! Use our request form at the end of this page to sign up for this service, ask us questions, share lodge information, or obtain Membership details.
Our lodge Stated Meetings are held in the Sterling Senior Center and all Master Masons are cordially invited to attend our monthly meetings that are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. We have FREE parking!
